Welcome to our little travel and photography project. Way back in late
2001, while living in California, we decided to visit - and take a snapshot in - each of the state's 58 counties.
Well, after a few thousand miles, a lot of fun, and almost
four years, we finally managed to visit our last two counties, Inyo and Imperial, in 2005. Our most recent
pictures are from the winter of 2009, and we are overdue for a return trip in 2012.
Our photos are organized into the geographic areas shown on the navigation
bars on the left side of this page.
Some of the snapshots were taken on federal or state land located within
the boundaries of the indicated counties.
